Yes but new cards were just released so that will over shadow the old ones for awhile

It all depends. I find 2013 cards useless because I play for points. Some collectors highly value their 2013's though.

yes but not until like halfway through the season when there are a LOT of new people that want old cards

Once people collect the 2014 cards, they will realize they wanna go after a full collection and start going after the 2013's

Having decent success selling off 2014 cards for 2013 sigs and patches. Traded Harper Opening Day + Trout Silver + Three Reds FOR Gomez Patch 3-diamond Fielder and 2014 Sandoval Gold.

Is there a guide someplace to 2013 cards and inserts somewhere? I started with Bubt in 2014 and would like to
Pick up a few older cards. Tbh tho I have a hard time knowing what's base, insert, boost. Anyone know if a visual reference that might help? Topps seems to do a lousy job of creating good checklists of these virtual cards and sets. Thx!

I'm sure there is a collection set somewhere archived but here is the gist of older cards.
2012 base cards from the first season of bunt
2013 base cards (to complicate things, the template changed midway through the season)
The "inserts" can be classified as the following:
Base Signature series (Harper, Trout, Cabrera, Posey, Jeter, Darvish, Rivera, Scherzer, Kershaw, and Wainwright plus Ortiz late)

I actually completed the LEDGENDS CHASE LAST YEAR, but slowly traded all of them off to gain hard to get cards, the last being my beloved Hank which I finally conceded to trade to gain RYAN Illust for my team, well that foolishness spurred me on to purchase the Legends set for $75 today through a trusted friend. Case in point, hang onto you 2013 limited cards, or it may end up costing ya!!! |
