Brandon Belt for NL BOTW and Justin Smoak for AL BOTW. Both guys have been mashing these first three games with Belt currently leading the NL in home runs. NL POTW I can't choose one. It's between Hudson, Ryu, Fernandez, and Wainwright. All had great pitching performances this week, and if you count Ryu's Australia start, then that's 12 straight scoreless innings that HJR has pitched to start the season.

Mark Buehrle deserves AL Pitcher. Phenominal against Tampa. As for AL Batter, there are.a few good choices. Really depends on if you want Power or average/hits. Smoak had hit well in terms of power. Melky Cabrera has been.on fire though in terms of hitting.

I think AL POTW should be Chris Sale after two dominating performances this week. Got 414 points for me on his Gold card today, however Buerhle is also a good candidate. Then Jose Fernandez in the NL. Justin Smoak did do great this week but I'm feeling like Torii Hunter may deserve it with his dominating weekend performance, also Melky hit 3 Homers in the past 3 Days. As for NL Batter either Charlie Blackmon, Giancarlo, or Goldy; all raked this week.

Agree with your choice of Torii as well, didn't know he had been taking until I watched the Tigers game today and they pulled up his stats from the series.

Trumbo has homered in 4 straight, but Blackmon has tore it up...tough choices.

No offense but Hunter is a joke for a pick. His stats were based solely off this weekend. Maybe he was player of the weekend but no way was he POTW

The options were Hunter, melky Cabrera, Bautista, de Aza and Josh Hamilton. Hunter got 2/4 picks and we thought his play deserved the award. 3 homers, 7 RBI? Not bad even if it is over the weekend. Who would be your selection?

Who would be your selection? Easily would have taken Hammy. Hit .500 with one less HR and RBI. Also doesn't play with Miguel Cabrera hitting behind him.

No discussion for this week? I think Buehrle deserves it again. 2 more strong performances. Also, if we are only going by the weekend for hitters again Rasmus is strong. Hit 3 jacks this week.
