AJ Burnett: if AJ has a good season, it's possible the Phillies have a good season. If he can give us an ERA around 3 the Phillies have a chance to win many of his starts. But if AJ can't contend like we paid him to, I see no chance for the Phillies Jonathan Papelbon: I see the Phillies bullpen as a strength in 2014. But, if Papelbon blows 5-10 of his saves, it won't matter. Papelbon has definitely been a great player over the years but his quality has certainly gone down. He has already blown 1 save and he needs to be better this year then he was last year Staying Healthy: Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Cole Hamels. All keys to the Phillies stretch of success but have had injury issues in the recent past. If this bunch can stay healthy, then the Phillies have a good shot.

I think even if they stay healthy having the nationals and braves in their division will kill them

Just some thoughts Nationals are my pick for the WS. Top 10 lineup and a monster rotation when healthy. And Teheran has pitched pretty well while Alex Wood has completely dealt so far this year, even though it's obviously early. Not to mention they're getting Ervin Santana soon.

I think my giants are a really good sleeper team. Improved lineup, Upgraded rotation, healthy bullpen(except affeldt). Already beaten the dodgers 2 out of 3 and the dbacks 3 out of 4.

I think the Rockies could be lol. If de la rosa improves and we get anything out of Jordan lyles and Brett Anderson I think we could at least contend for a wild card spot possibly. Our rotation has always been the biggest issue and we brought in some pieces to sure that up.

De la rosa is a decent pitcher but he needs a bit more experience until he becomes a solid top of the rotation pitcher for the rockies. I think anderson should have a bounce back year with the rockies. Im guessing a mid 3 to low 4 era with an even record. Lyles has never really been that pitcher for the astros. I think maybe a long relief job? The rockies have a good, solid offense. Im just not sure about their back end of the order and closer.

He should be coming back the end of this month. And I am a strong believer Rex Brothers will take over the closer roles this year since he has closer type stuff. Chacin, De la Rosa, Chatwood (who was actually pretty good as a SP last year), Anderson, and nicasio (who I believe is set up for a good year) is a pretty solid rotation for a team with a good offense.

That's also discounting lyles in my previous post who threw 7 innings of 1 run ball tonight. He was one of the top pitching prospects in the game just 2 years ago.

I think Bumgarner is a complete beast. But I also think the Rockies are better offensively. Went 10-9 vs SF last year.

I collect Tulo's and Casey Kelly's (off topic since he's a padre lol). I'll be happy if we win 1 out of 3 in SF. Were much better at home, but that's the case with most teams of course.

It depends. With Cueto, Burnett, Utley, Howard, Hamals, and Rollins they have a decent shot at a spot.

Currently, im trying to finish my posey rc set (i think theres 15-20 of his rc's out there. I had a list but not sure where it went) and trying to start the bumgarner one.
