There are 4 1974 Archives released so far in Shin-Soo Choo, Angel Pagan, Yadier Molina, and Jonathan Lucroy. There's a pack for them as well. What are your thoughts?
UPDATE: I just added a poll consisting of the top 10 batting average leaders in the AL and NL respectively (besides Cutch tied for 11th). Choo is 10th for the AL and Pagan is tied for 11th in the NL. I'm going out on a limb and saying that as the cards become more are more rarer, the players that are chosen are closer to the top of the AVG ranks, like Tulo and Victor Martinez. What do you guys think?

Ok...opened about 40 packs - 3 Pagan, 1 Choo, and 2 Getz...WTF? Similar here. I opened about 30 packs: 2 Pagan, 1 Choo, and 1 Getz. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, I guess. I only kept opening because I was chasing the Choo. Getz was a very nice bonus. |

I opened a LOT and got two Choo's, a CJ Wilson gold and Tex green and Justin Upton BoB - so I pulled a Pagan trade for the other Choo and a silver Grandy. I likely overpaid, but i would never use a Grandy for PTS anyway. Nice set to collect

I opened about 30 packs and got 4-Pagan and 1-Choo and a few good Golds. No sigs. I still have never pulled a sig card. I do have the Ted Williams Sig card which is super cool!

So, it's looking like the odds of pulling a "1974" card are better than Topps has posted. More like 1:10 at worst. Maybe the people who but packs later will have much bigger (worse) odds?
