I have been looking around on this section and now there is a twitter account showing bad trade offers. I don't think it's cool to show the persons name in these. Yes, some of these offers are atrocious but to publicly humiliate someone is another. Some might not know the cards well ( most traders ) or the real value ( again, most traders ) but to show THIER name might cause them to be avoided completely when someone notices their name from one of these threads or that twitter account. If you can do a screen shot, you can as easily blur the user name! I'm off my soap box.....for now  |

True I've thought this too. But I think it gives them a chance to redeem themselves or to explain whether on here or on twitter, what they reasoning was behind the "bad" trade.

Shouldn't have to "defend" ones self...maybe message the person and tell them why its a bad offer. We all had to start and some just need to know if they don't catch on.

My big complaint is you send a message with "not sure what you want" and get a response like you are really stupid about asking.

If you're getting bad trade offers from someone with an 80+ collection score, shame the hell out of them. They should know better.

Same goes for anyone who is trying to trade a VIP card. I say expose these people for what they are: scammers. CANNON49 is doing this, and he knows it.
Shameful.
Here's the full list of people that have confirmed to me that they are trying to scam people out of good cards with VIP offers:
CANNON49
FOOTBALL_3_
I'm going to keep an eye on fan feed for the next couple of days and offer a trade (with a note) to everyone trying to sell a VIP card. We'll see if it can help put a stop to this garbage. I've done this with about a half dozen people already, and most of them have apologized and/or backed down quietly.

The guys that are doing this are the bullies, taking advantage of (mostly) kids that will never read the fine print and won't know they got screwed until it is too late. CANNON49 basically told me that he knows that is what is happening and if the other person is dumb enough to fall for it, too bad for them. He's walking a fine line by not actually promising that the cards bring benefits, but he keeps on offering them for trade in fan feed as though they are valuable. One of the guys I sent a trade offer and note to seemed genuinely surprised and upset that the card didn't come with benefits. He told me that he had traded away his entire Archives set for it that same day and thought he would be getting the new benefits (card, coins, etc.). |

I can't stand these opportunists either - I report everyone I see on fan feed as Scam alert to Topps - not sure it does any good though. I have sent trades to each offing a single base card and telling them what they are doing is wrong - most don't respond and keep spamming the feed.

I'm off my soap box.....for now I know I've probably sent out bad offers not knowing there real value, I try to add a note but don't want the other person knowing I'm a noob as for him to counter with a crazy offer. Speaking of which - Just got offered three 2013 base cards for my Bowman Draft Young card by a guy with a collection score of 88.57. Now for the shaming. OSBORNE24 (88.57) offered me a flaming pile of hot garbage for a Bowman Draft Young card.  |
