It's part of the reason I gave up on collecting all the Indians cards. At one point about 2-3 weeks ago I had them all. Every one of them from 2012-2014 so far. But as soon as a Diamond VIP picks an Indians card, that chase is over. So I gave up on it now rather than just be frustrated later. I'm not going to stop collecting Padres cards like you did with the Indians, but I have a good feeling I'm going to end up frustrated in the near future. Hopefully anybody who picks a Padres Diamond VIP card is open for trading and doesn't have a personal connection with the card. |

You say that, but then your chance to actually select a player that only you can have comes. And you spent so much money over the past month. We all probably settle onto our 1st-3rd favorite players instead of a gimmick obscure player. Except for frankelstein and his Vogt selection  Hey He believes in Stephen Vogt(its an Oakland inside joke look it up) |

The Diamond VIPs have literally ZERO value. Nobody could ever trade for them unless they offered a different Diamond VIP. Hence, unless one of the Diamond VIPs is feeling charitable, these cards will never circulate out of the Diamond VIP population.

Then I would be wrong. I forgot about outside sales. But, whoever bought that card would keep that card until they either traded it for another (1) card or they sold it for cash. Also, I don't understand why anyone would want to buy that card. It's like owning something that you and a select 20 other people have. These 20 people all have different colors of the same thing, but no two people have the exact same color. No one else in the world can afford it, unless they ship it off to another planet (the equivalent of selling BUNT cards on eBay). Why would you want that item? You can't do anything with it, so why would you want it? I'm talking jib. I'll shut up now. |

I don't really see the point of selling the card except for (minimal) recuperation of losses. You spend thousands, and then get $175 back. Hmm.

I do get that. It's a $175 less you have to spend towards your next VIP or just a minor rebate like you said.
