Had 100 gold on hand so I bought a first round pick. Got 2-star Mike Olt. Traded my 3 inactives for a late round pick, got 2.5-star Chris Ianetta.
There is no way the worst result from a paid pack should be worse than a good result from the worst free pack.
I'm not complaining, as I needed a half-decent catcher very badly, but still...

Yeah I played terribly when I first started haha I think it probably took me as long to get out of rookie as it did to get out of pro. Has anybody come across some bogus rated players? I think they do a good job of being realists (example, josh Hamilton being only 3 star) but some guys are pretty over or underrated if you ask me. Like Ben revere is a 8-1-9 or something like that, I don't think he's got that great of contact

And stars make no sense to me. I just got 5-2-9 (16 points overall) e. Cabrera and he's a 2.5 star. But I have j. Peralta 7-6-3 (also 16 points overall) but he's a 4 star. They're both as good as one another but peralta has 1.5 more stars?

Another example is my joe Mauer and Pablo Sandoval who are both 13 overall and 3.5 star while dj LeMahieu is 16 overall and a 2.5 Win Twins! |

I'm thinking hitting and power are more important than speed when players are given star ratings because most of my low star but high overall players (LeMahieu, Evereth Cabrera, Eric young) are all really fast but not that great at hitting.
