How far did you fall? When Erasmo had 1.1 innings in a strikeout. I was at #988. Looked away, did some work, checked and I had fallen. This was after the 4 run inning. Went away, figured he could recoup from that and checked again. 8-1. Well, I might as well see if he scrape me a couple more outs. Final line: 3 IP, 9 H, 10 R, BB.
At least I didn't have it as bad as you (only 4 silvers, 5 reds), but I overpaid for those cards thinking that he could do what he ended up doing for the first 4 outs: pitch well.
All told, I started the day at around #1250 (this was after I started a bunch of Eovaldi because I only had 2 Bumgarner. We don't need to recount that one). After the Cardinals game, I was at #1150, as I had a pretty good amount of Wainwrights in. Now, I'm at #1785. Hopefully tonight I can scrape into the top 1250 again and work from there.

That killed me, I'm pretty much going for 25 k points and a green bob at this point.

9 golds sent me from 30 something, to 150 something. Well, when you're standing in a hole, it's all uphill.

That killed me, I'm pretty much going for 25 k points and a green bob at this point. Same here. Two weeks ago I just started playing again, and one bad start by somebody on Wednesday sent my chances of the top 1000 tumbling. I stopped playing by Saturday and ended up with a green Altuve (one of my favorite players that I try to get a reasonable-count inserts of). Last week I was on vacation, but this week I felt I had a shot at the top 1000. Nope, not anymore.

I don't either. I start an even amount of each player. When Price got smashed, I rose 300 sppts in the standings!
Of course, the opposite happened with Bumgarner and Eovaldi last night.

I only had 4 in, but didn't realize until after he had been completely clobbered, so the neutralized the points I was getting from Wheeler and Teheran.

Lots of big pitchers pooping the bed this week. Which is how I like it. Since I start an equal amount of everybody (if I have enough of them), I root for the pitchers that everybody else starts only 9 of to stink. That way, if my guys that nobody else starts do really well, then I rise a lot in the standings. If I fall a lot, than the opposite happens...
