Key cards in purple pack. No idea what the heck they are though. I've pulled Wilson and Pujols in about 5 packs.

Okay, so let me get this straight - these are the same cards (same photos) but they have purple borders instead of gold and a picture of a key on them. They are the same as gold boosts. You have to get three of them out of packs, just to get access to the special fourth pack which has the "reward" purple card in it at a rate of 1:75 packs. And every team is getting a purple series.
Wow, I tip my hat to whoever thought of this. They are getting people to chase after THE SAME GOLD CARDS you can't give away today, and making it pretty hard (costly) to do so. And every team getting a set means all fans will feel obligated to buy some purple packs. All this with no new content added. Brilliant.

I wonder if they'll decide to give up halfway through? I'll buy when the Brewers are available, because I'm a sucker... but I can't see anyone trying to collect these for every team.

Kind of laughable when you think about it. Collect all three and get a 1 in 75 chance to collect the fourth and get the reward. Talk about double dipping.

We have a month left in the season... it's not even worth it that these cards are boosted, to be honest. The Trout won't be awarded until September 9th... that's two weeks to use it? I doubt they're going to flood the store with 10 packs at a time so I would imagine some teams won't even be able to use the boosted cards at all?

I traded my Pujols for 9 inserts that I needed. Was one of the best deals I've received.
However, I'm not going after the set. Trout at 250 and 1:75 odds of pulling him? That's nuts.

I was not a fan of this announcement. Not even sure I'll chase the Giants. They literally look exactly the same as the golds.
