I think there is a sub tier class within the rankings for sets as well. For example, Vintages may be the most popular with the most collected single card (han) but that doesn't make vintages ranked higher in general than all wide visions (obi wan).
The same principle applies to sets like Night brothers. For example even though night brothers set is falling in popularity, the blacks are still rare and sought after. Even more so, the black maul is more sought after. I would trade any of my vintages except han for a black maul anytime. Just present the offer.

Ah yes, Galactic Moments (the Ralph McQuary one). So many sets to keep track of!
I like your list too Angels. But different from Ronberry's list but pretty much the same core.
The colours such as orange and purple are odd. Very low numbers, but not as popular as inserts with higher numbers. The whole Sold Out thing affects it, but also the cool factor. Orange and Purple are just base cards with different colours. Not the coolest idea.

Yes, the Fans Choice set is perfect for me the F2P player. Still an insert set but with high card count that I can back-trade reds and yellows for.
