I've been playing since April but I don't understand if I have a super rare insert why it only counts points for an uncommon. For example my super rare dozier bowman diamond insert only gets the same points as my uncommon dozier base card. Can anyone tell me why?

Inserts don't have any boost at all. The rarity label for an insert (theoretically) only relates to how difficult they are to pull when they are available in packs. Boost only applies to base cards and a few select inserts (black Tulo and Cueto, Trout Fire boost).

Because they're meant to collect, not play. I'm guessing that is topps excuse. I think all inserts should play like a gold unless they're the black boost, trout boost, or POTW.

I forgot about the POTW inserts, which have a great boost during their first week of release, but then revert to simple base PTS. Nice reminder.
