what were the comments thats always the best part of the trades The dude just said he was new and just picked guys he liked. Okay, cool, I get that. I told him I'd offer a fair trade, and since he's a Cubs fan, I offered a couple of inserts and some super rares of Cubs players. Then he's like "nope, I'm gonna hold off for sigs and coin cards." But seriously, how drunk were people last night? I got more horrible trade offers in 24 hours trying to trade for that Darvish card than I have in my entire Bunt tenure this season. I blocked so many people. READY FOR SOME FUN? So I offered this one guy a Draft Upton and Tribute Davis for Darvish LL. It's an overpay, yes, I know. I just have this thing where I don't mind moving cards from sets I don't have the whole things of or didn't want. Tribute was a set I just didn't think I could handle, but it was what it was. So I wait, AND THEN THIS COUNTER CAME TO ME.  His comment? "for this or the Trout fire boost." BLOCKED. And after I declined him for 9 super rares, this dude offered THIS.  ....again, blocked.  ...seriously, this was ALL last night.  The one that gets me in this is that yeah, On Decks are pretty easy to come by and what not, but it's like this dude was "I'll be slick and slide this Lincecum no-hitter in there..."   I was on the fence about this one, but meh. I think it was just the fact I asked the dude if he thought it was fair and he told me he was overpaying for the sig. However, I need the Darvish, so I counter and offer two tributes (again, slight overpay but I don't collect the set). AND THEN HE CAME BACK WITH THIS.  Seriously. Names purposely NOT omitted so you don't have to deal with these guys. |

Like...I don't even get this guy's angle. Is he trying to be slick and scam people or something? Is he hoping we're stupid and desperate? I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
Also, who is dumb enough to have helped rate him high enough that he's even got that high of a trade rating?

I only rated him high because he made me an awesome deal after the tens of trades that were all so horrible that I was 1-starring him into oblivion. |

You know what most of these guys have in common, and is a sign that you're a lowball/terrible trader? A 3.0 star trader rating despite having made over 500 trades. I call them the "D Students". 3/5=60%. Seriously, when people accept a trade the majority will rate you a 5 and a small few will rate a 4. I can't think of a single time I've ever accepted a trade and rated somebody a 3 or lower. If I accepted, I felt it was fair and give 5 stars. For you to have that many 4 and 5 star ratings and still only have a 3.0 average, you have to a large amount of 1 star declines. I don't offer trades to anybody on TT I see who fits the "Over 500 trades with a ~3.0 trader rating" criteria. And when I receive terrible offers, they either come from new people or one of the D Students. I rarely ever receive lowball offers from people with a 4-star rating or above unless they have like 15 ratings and are new and don't know any better.
If we have any HIMYM fans, than you know I just "broke the glass". You'll notice this trend. Take about 5 minutes and quickly peak through the screenshots in this thread. Lots of D Students.
As you scroll through TT, you'll notice them more now. They will stick out as the ones constantly offering 60% value on sigs or various inserts in their posts.
*this isn't meant to sound as harsh as it reads. Mostly wanted to point out a common theme I've noticed in this thread and my own trade experiences.

He keeps sending me offers I refuse and five minutes later the offer is worse! I kept getting offers of his tanaka International for 5 of my sigs and 4 TBTs. I asked why should I? "Trust me, I just want the award. I'll trade back. We are friends. We traded 2 weeks ago. " |

Yeah, and the ECs have been so delightfully easy to collect that getting another Wong would be child's play. Could probably get one for a silver Escobar. Ahh, I missed a steal trade!

For:

Greinke, Quintana, and 3 Gray Silvers
I countered for 4 inserts and told him you offer me a ridiculous trade, here is a ridiculous trade back. He told me it was a completely fair trade offer.
