My Trade Talk Pet Peeves

I have a lot of pet peeves on trade talk. Feel free free to post your own.

1. People that put (0) next to a new card.
EX: I am trading Buster Posey Sunday Night (0)!!

Why? It just doesn't make any sense.

2. Newbs that say they will "overpay for a card they can't afford.
EX: I will overpay for Harper sig (person joined yesterday)

The new collection score has stopped me from wasting my time, but this is still annoying.

3. Scammers (especially nudes)
I don't have to explain this, do I?

4. Donations
EX: I am new plz send me donationz

Why should everybody go out of their way to help you?

5. One words posts
EX: Trades

You are so lazy you can't even write a complete sentence? SMH...

6. Lies
EX: I will give anything 4 a Saberstar!!!! (Offer Saberstar for good card and they decline)

Why? At least follow up on your promise.



I'm sure I'll think of more... As stated above what are your trade talk pet peeves?

I'm guilty of the one word one. Sometimes I'm lying in bed and don't feel like typing something out and know I can say almost anything to get trades so I say "baseball" hahaha

I too use the one word the odd time. I have recently been using some tactics like making fun of them in a funny way, or saying a funny/interesting fact then following it up with a pun related to the fact and trading. For example: 7/10 Swedish babies are born in an Ikea bed, be a swedie and send me a trade.
