I'm having a lot of trouble with getting awards. I've gotten the needed cards and no awards yet. I've emailed topps about it but no response

I have the same problem on my ipad, no awards unlock. On my iphone it can sometimes take days before the reward will pop up. Seems completely random.

Recently mine have been working fine. If you it doesn't appear right away, get out of the app and double click home button. Swipe up on Bunt to remove it from background and then go back in. Once back in, refresh your homepage a couple times. That worked for me.
