hey everyone... New to the board. Just wanted to say hello.
I'm curious about some strategies on how to get lots of points. The last three weeks, I've gotten 19-20K points, which has put me in the top 500 (which I'm proud of). I just started playing in April and I feel like I have a decent collection.
However, I feel like I'm never going to place higher than 200 just because of how many points people get in the top 50. Some people get over 20K in a day and I get that in a week. Seems ridiculous. I usually load up on starting pitchers and try to switch them out between innings when I really want to watch baseball. Otherwise, I just do 2-3 switches of cards each night. The strategy works okay considering I score in the top 500...
But really... how do these people get 160K PTS in a week? I just don't understand.

Depends on the play settings, but last week the warmup was short enough that people could insert players after the action happened. This week's settings are probably more suitable for you cracking the top 100 as you can see your lineup a few times and not miss many pts.

Yeah the play setting alter the play. This week I would focus on switching pitchers between innings. I'm out of any running this week cause I went to a live game and I am going again tonight.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk was it the Tigers vs O's game?!?!? Tori Hunter was about to light up Norris!! and Miggy looked like he was ready to pop a O too! would have been exciting to be at that one!!

Yeah. It was that one. Hunter was super pissed. Then both benches and bullpens came out. I loved how Chris Davis was trying to calm everyone down. I went last night too, the O's need a closer so bad. When Miggy got up vs Tommy Hunter I new it was going to end poorly. Sucks cause Jiminez threw a great game

Cool to go to the O's game, though it's been a little rainy lately. (I live in Baltimore too but haven't been to a game this year.)
Just wanted to say hi myself, as I'm a new Bunt player as of about a month ago. I'm doing ok, usually top 1000. Not bad for a froob, I figure!
A question: has anyone cracked the secret of VIP status? How much do I have to spend to be VIP? Obviously more than I have, which is zero, but I'm not going to stay at zero forever. Just watching for the right deals. It's sure tough with everything changing all the time! Who can keep up? Glad I didn't jump in at the sight of those black packs last night! Sheesh.
Anyway, thanks for all your work in setting up this forum! I appreciate your help in navigating Bunt. Take care!

Easiest way to get a gold VIP card for you, is prob by trade. My son picked one up after the first week for three gold pitchers (which I replaced for him). So he gave up some good pt scorers, seemed like an ok deal for a card that's worthless at the end of the month.

Wow - big #s !! I am a Bunt newbie (great Board here by the way) and after 3-4 weeks happy to see my weekly score so far at 11k+ and i play often changing cards as play is going on which is clearly only way to succeed and playing pitchers gold. I enjoy the PTS game part of this more than collecting although i am going for the TBT series and thanks to Lee for pointing out the Carter card I pulled after 3 packs Look fwd to playing and trading. Friend me on Bunt at DGOURLAY and Twitter is @davidgourlay d
