Johnny Cueto has had a great start so far. He only has 4 wins but is leading the whole league in K's, ERA, WHIP, IP's, CG, etc. Do you think he will be a Cy Young Candidate?

If winning was easy their would be no reason in playing the game.

I think he could finish 2nd or 3rd but hard to maintain that. Also due to being a die hard Cardinals fan I can't root for him lol sorry great pitcher though

Cy Young Candidate? Yes. Cy Young Winner? Probably not. I would take Greinke over Cueto.

Johnny Cueto has had a great start so far. He only has 4 wins but is leading the whole league in K's, ERA, WHIP, IP's, CG, etc. Do you think he will be a Cy Young Candidate? As I say every May/June....lets let the season play out before pick winners lol. Candidate? probably as long as he keeps pitching the way he is. But he could also go into a slump and lose 3-4 straight which would then turn all the talk around. An interesting dilemma is what to make with Jeff S. No wins (maybe one now? cant remember) but great everything else. Can a pitcher win the Cy Young with a losing record, if he beats out the competition in every other statistical category? It will be interesting to see how the voters handle that....
