Personally I think it is a mistake. The US is much more about fame than other countries and I think viewership, merchandise, etc will suffer without the name power of Donovan behind it.

From a performance standpoint I still think he deserved to be included one last time as I still think he has enough left to make an impact....

Big mistake by Klinnsmann to leave Landon off the squad. Landon is probably the most decorated player in the history of US Men's soccer. On another note, how did Jozy Altidore, who was basically crap for Sunderland this season, make the squad? Did Klinnsmann just see that he played in the BPL and chose him? Ridiculous.
