Can someone fill me in on the history and value of the black & white base cards that I see some people with? They look exactly like regular base cards from 2012 but are black and white. Thanks.

They were the cards released in 2012, that retired in 2013. Millwood, Carpenter and others turned black and white before the 2013 season and all users with these now owned the black and white card. They were no longer for sale and only one card was never realeased Hedeki Matsui. Nobody owns him and nobody ever will. During the 2013 season, Topps released the colour set of these B&W and they are now considered common base cards. That's at least what I know.
