This morning, the New York Yankees acquired SP Brandon McCarthy from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for P Vidal Nuno and cash. What are your guys' thoughts on this trade for the Yankees? How does this affect Arizona's long-term approach as they near the midpoint of this disastrous season? Does NYY need to acquire more pitching? Leave your comments below...

1) This was a good move by the Yankees as they acquire a pitcher that can eat up innings without giving up a major prospect or anything of real value. Vidal Nuno was not known for longevity in games and caused Girardi to use his bullpen too often.
2) The D-Backs are screwed.
3) NYY definitely needs to acquire more pitching. CC is out for the season and we can't just rely on Tanaka's arm to carry the Yanks to the postseason, if they make it that far.
