I did a brief search and didnt find an explanation. I am confused about when I get points bc I know you can fluidly substitute cards. So for ex. Hudson was getting hit around today so I pulled him in the 5th for another kershaw. Will I still get his negative points? At what point is a good time to sub? I have no idea. Thanks for any help. As of now I just sub in good matchups each morning and let them play.

As of now I just sub in good matchups each morning and let them play. That's probably the only thing you can do. That's usually what I do. I don't think there's a specific period when PTS get added. It's completely random. It could be 30 seconds after the play ends, or a few minutes. Also depends on how long the "warm up" and "cool down" periods are that week, which BTW are pretty stupid.
