Seattle Mariners - "Thanks for a great 7 inning 10 strikeout performance on Tuesday against the Mets you were brilliant!!! We need to clear room for Taijuan Walker so you'll be in Tacoma for a while....but keep up the good work!!"
Erasmo Ramirez- "WTF do I have to do to keep my spot in the Rotation!?!?!? Tacoma smells like corn and cow farts... Im sure my morale will stay real high..."
(Ramirez was optioned down to Triple A this morning so Walker could rejoin the rotation rumored he will be there 15+ days making his BUNT cards almost worthless for now)
What do you all think? Is this a good move? Couldnt have the Mariners found some other arm to send to Tacoma or was this their best/only option?

Walker was wild today....he hit Tejada pretty good too in addition to all the walks. I guess it's just us Mets fans commenting on the Mariners move since we just finished up a rare away series in Seattle. Took 2 of 3! :-)

I feel so sad because i invested heavily in his cards i still have like 5-6 silvers of Ramirez He's been up and down all year, I wouldn't be surprised if he comes up again, or gets traded for a bat and becomes a starter elsewhere. the problem is when he was sent down it was for a minimum of 11 days i believe now you also have to include travel times 2-4 days...now if he is traded he will have to wait an additional 5-15 days. Earliest we see him back is 15 days (3 starts) but could easily be 30+ days meaning over 6 starts Its too bad cause he is far and away better than a lot of SP in the Majors right now..... |

I was curious, so I looked. A player who is traded does not have to abide by the 10 day restriction and can be immediately recalled. He can also be immediately recalled if someone is placed on the disabled list, which I think is how he came back up this time.

NO but do the Mariners have all 5 spots in the rotation covered as of now. IF they don't they will probably use Tom Wilhelmsen for the next few starts. He has good stuff but he gave up a monster home run to Lucas Duda Tuesday night
