OK, make sure you read this thouroughly because it may get a little confusing:
It started off with a simple cross trade with dillllll. We agreed on a swap of my wright red for a Smith sig. Easy deal. A day later he asks that I swap my Smith for a Mccoy because I ripped him off. I say that if he doesn't want to do the Smith-Wright deal, I'll gladly swap back. He says I can get a good 2014 still with Mccoy. Here's my problem: he won't swap back with me, and he gets his Smith back for a Mccoy. I feel I am not obligated to send back Smith after the deal because it was the deal that was agreed upon. I feel Wright is worth a Smith sig and not a Mccoy sig, therefore want no less, and if he wants the Smith back, fine by me, I want the Wright back. I'm posting my situation on BHK so I can get advice. Should I settle for a Mccoy sig? Am I still obligated to give back the sig, even for a lower price and after the deal has been confirmed and made?
I thought that something like this might help make the situation more clear:
The GM for the Tampa Bay Rays makes a deal with the GM of the LA Dodgers. It's a 1-1 swap, Price for Kemp. A day passes after the deal was confirmed and made, but the Dodgers GM calls the Rays GM and says he wants Kemp back for a lower player (Van Slyke, Ethier, Crawford, something like that), but the Rays GM says no. Again, should the Rays GM settle for something less? Is he still obligated to give back Price, even after the deal has been confirmed and made?
