Packs at the start of the season?

I started topps bunt mid season but remember there being "rookie" packs to help me start out.
I started topps huddle about a month ago and never had anything special like that offered.

Wondering if at the start of the 2014 season we can expect special packs to start the new year or not since I am not a "rookie" anymore.
Anyone been around over a year and can give me info?

I have saved 10K so far this summer but that won't go very far with the current packs, can't do much with 14 total cards.

Huddle is still in 2013 mode (as compared to bunt is in 2014 mode). There were no rookie packs in huddle or kick

There were rookie packs in kick, but if you signed up in the offseason you did not get them when the new update came out. I downloaded the iOS version early in August and realized i couldn't get 2014 cards so i didnt open packs. I down loaded the android version when it came out and got rookie packs there.
