If I'm playing for points, what is the most important position? Thanks for helping a newbie.

Starting pitchers, plain and simple.

Furthermore to these two other gents, I've found that I've also got TONS of success playing starting pitchers in my lineup.

Actually what everyone is missing....is this was posted in KICK lol
With that said, I dont know the answer yet....the PTS system changed and until I see a game or two scored I would say concentrate on good forwards and GKs as they seem to have the best likelihood of scoring well.
I myself dont care too much about PTS, so I have a couple from each position in right now to see how they do....

Are you asking about KICK or BUNT? KICK The thing with footy is that everyone has the chance of scoring. It's not like in bunt as the pitchers dominate the game. If I had to pick one of course the FORWARDS score the most goals & MIDFIELDERS touch the ball the most. Depends on team formation for the match as well.

I think I'd go midfielders with all the passing and the chance at scoring.

It's not that easy. Take a look at the performances of a bright young German talent named Rüdiger from VFB Stuttgart. He is a defender but he opens a lot of plays, has many touches/clearances. Just take at his points. His team lost 2-0 and he will be the gold GC from Bundesliga this week It depends a lot on who is playing who as well. If you don't understand teams and how the dynamics with different pairings can change you just cannot simply say A is better than B. And with all that being said, if you are not actually watching the games and cannot switch players in or out before a goal is registered playing for points is not worth it.

Defenders that attack like DeAndre Yedlin might score good pointS once in a while Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
