This is why I am f2p. I don't have the money to keep them going. I collect the Tbt sets either by pulling them or trading for them. They keep this up next year I may just stop Playing all together

They recycled the Altuve League Leaders pick and made it Lightning! I'm in hyper-cynical mood today so don't mind me.

I bought a few packs today, 14 to be exact. I got one gold, and the rest was green and white mostly white). I am of the firm opinion that when they give out coins whether it's VIP rewards or a set reward the odds plummet on the pull ratios. They know the majority of the people who get the free coins will spend them right way. So they make the pull ratios more difficult to gobble up all the free coins. Then, later in the week they will have a black or grey pack sale with a high insert pull ratio, and your forced into purchasing coins if you really want the inserts. In the end the odds average out, but this just adds to GP's point of manipulation.

the other thing about this insane oversaturation is that 99% of these new inserts are ass-ugly. seriously, i can't say i've even wanted any of these new ones. truth be told there are really only like 5 insert sets in the whole game that i like. most of the new ones the last few weeks are just disgustingly designed.
it's also shitty the way insert value works. it's impossible to predict.
for instance, i actually like some of the old inserts, so those are generally what i try to get: turkey red, heritage, my hero, mayor, a&g (i don't care about finishing sets or getting the awards, i generally just try to trade for the player or card i like). but you can't give away a (550) scarce topps tribute for a (2000) rare a&g trout. try offering a scarce (500ish) insert for ANY tbt (and i usually only offer people for their duplicates) and it will be instantly denied every time. all people want is a sig or 9 inserts for whatever card you are asking for. the numbers don't seem to mean anything at all anymore.
it's such a chore that trading isn't even fun. i have 2 sigs and will probably just sell them on ebay to get what little i can back from the game.
and user27 i think you are completely correct.

As I look at BUNT today, I have now seen the release of three new insert sets, a Cuddyer Milestone card and the usual minutiae of the daily inserts (SNB, EC). The previous sets, with the exception of the St. Louis HOF set, have yet to be awarded. As many have stated, and I fully agree with, this system of releasing infinite inserts is not sustainable and eventually we will all burn out. It's evident that traders want nothing to do with older inserts in return for these new inserts. That leaves two options: 1) overpay for these new inserts or 2) spend a lot of money to buy packs and pray to God/Buddha/Vishnu/Allah that you'll pull at least one insert. The problem with the overpay is that you will eventually run out of cards to overpay with, which will lead you to the second path. The problem with the second path, as I've described before, is that it is expensive to maintain. The rewards for completing the set don't justify the cost. The reason for my griping is the latest "Walk Off" series. This is a 20-card set with the first couple of cards limited to 450-500 and with horrific odds (1:75 or higher). Think about this for a second. A 20-CARD SET where you have to shell out 5,000 coins for the slim chance of getting one card. Just gets old. Anyway, enough of my ranting. This sucks. Not to mention that they all look crap. I guess it's difficult to produce quality if you're asked to produce 2-3 sets a day but still, I've seen much better cards designed by users on here.

the thing is, theyve been averaging 2-3 sets per monday for the past few mondays and there doesnt seem to be any let up by the masses. last week was vintage and backstops and then they had the cardinal HOF soon after. with school starting up again soon, it'll be interesting to see how crowded the fan feed will be as well as activity in general. the end is definitely near... But that's the thing - school kids can't be their major audience, can it? I mean, how many kids have the kind of money to keep up? parents credit cards and stuff just rich spoiled brats

I've been talking with guinea for the past couple weeks about all these changes and I completely agree with what he's been saying.
I've completely changed to a free to play player and changed my strategy from completing full sets every week, to collecting one or two cards from each set and red sox sets.
Unfortunately, trading is so broken thanks to the single award update and players thinking inserts are worth sigs. Of my 10 last successful trades, 8 of them are with BHK execs. It's just so bad out there.
It's sad to see because I now spend 20-30 minutes a day on the app (points play not included) and it's killing my involvement with my blog and with BHK.
I really hope they change something up real quick, or they're going to lose a lot of players.

If there is a Jays card in a set than great. If theres not, i'll simply try to get 1-2 cards from each set.
