i had a few leftover coins from the bundle i bought - ive given up on the lightning. i think <40 will be the final count - and bought 2 packs. all gold except for 1 lawrie hot corner.
the curious thing is that the front page says it includes the golden ticket... ahhhh, thats gone, no?

The 1/1 Sig = 1/1 Diamond VIP card, except there will be fewer 1/1 Sigs. Say someone gets the ticket and selects another Kimbrel sig. It won't be jamminj's sig but will have a different picture of Kimbrel with the sig. Make sense?

I have 23,000 coins saved up from some award swaps and weekly awards...is it worth it to drop on this pack or should I wait for the Black pack?

What have people pulled that opened packs? prolly save it for the black pack where you can get 4-5 packs vs just one. i opened 2 packs and got 9 golds and 1 hot corner insert. |

Make sense? great analogy. still think jamminj should have bartered that ticket away for 9+ sigs instead. better for the "end game" here. in any case, it will likely work like the diamond vip 1/1s. if someone picks the same player then they throw in a different photo. |

yep. JamminJ should have sold the card on ebay for a good amount of money or traded it for 9+ sigs

I opened a decent amount of packs and got caught up on all of the newest insert sets except for the Phillies Between Innings card. I managed to get all six Walk Offs and all four Hot Corners. If anyone needs the Indians Between Innings I have two extras.

Probally will end up letting myself down, so I'll just hold off. lol I thought that for about 10 packs, then reality set in. Although I don't think anyone would be impressed when I chose Kevin Kiermaier as my sig. |

I've been pretty quiet during this whole 1-1 sig discussion, but I think some people are forgetting this isn't just about building the most valuable deck. That's not my goal. Never has been. Might not be JamminJ's goal. I've gotten some outstanding advice from people on this board regarding how I can make my deck more "valuable". I totally get that and also understand that is how a lot of people "judge" the quality of their deck. And if that's your goal, to get the most valuable cards to sell on eBay or use in trades, I'm 100% for you doing that. I don't. I'm after certain cards, certain sets, irregardless of card count. I prefer action photography over posed images. I prefer Giants over everything else. I could go on and on. i have little to no desire to sell my cards on eBay or another auction site to try and make some money back. For some of us, it's just about building a collection you enjoy looking over. I know I would have a Tim Lincecum 1-1 Sig if I pulled it. Maybe JamminJ is happy as a clam with his Sig. Maybe not. Just a thought. |
