Yesterday I traded for a card that currently shows a count of 10. The guy I traded with had 12 of them just by himself. There were also another 20 traders available. So how often do they update that number on the back of the card?

I haven't seen any kind of pattern, it's obviously not updated in real time, to me it almost seems like it's a manual script they have to push to update. I could be wrong though.

At one point, I think it was at 11 PM, but for a few weeks I saw 9 AM. But, recently it's been all over the place

Originally I think they were supposed to be at midnight PST, but I have no idea now. Sometimes it's in the afternoon, but sometimes it's at night

Rule of thumb is. The next day by noon for me. Good call - I like that rule. Helps in trying to not overpay for the POTW, SNB, and EC cards that lately seem to be flying past 1000 every time.

ECs have stayed pretty consistent around 700ish with the exception of Rendon. POTW, FC, SNB usually spike on Fridays with the VIP insert packs, DeGrom was a 1 of 3 POTW week and stayed low in the card count. If they don't advertise the card counts on a set, you can almost bet each will be 1000-1500+ like the Super Vets. The Super Bonus pack this week could have had a run of inserts put in to bring the pull numbers up too. This is why I'm primarily focusing on "dead" sets. The award cards mean nothing to me and the coins burn a hole in my pocket and usually end up wasting them on basic packs instead of holding for the inserts only VIP packs or Twitter packs with better odds.
