I'm sure I won't be the only one wondering this. If I want to invest in / trade for 2014 cards that will be tradable in 2015, what would they be? Sigs? My thought is that base will be useless, and probably even boosts will be no good. Most insert series are watered down and forgettable.
Where could one put their "assets" to have tradable material next year? My guess is sigs and maybe the HOF cards. Opinions?

I've seen a few 2013 sigs being offered. Didn't know if those were sought after.

all depends on what you define as "valuable". i'll assume you mean resale value - which in turn, usually translates into similar trade value. the notion that 2013 cards are no longer valuable is not true at all. do yourself a favor and go to ebay and search for something like "topps bunt beltran"- you wont see any current auctions but if you click the "completed" filter, you'll see plenty of sales in the $100 range. hardly "not valuable" as $100 will get you just about any card from THIS year aside from a handful of sigs at the top. even a few of the 2012 cards (which did not have many inserts) bring in $10-20 - namely the wheeler and myers RCs.
my guess - at least what i'm banking on - is that the low count inserts from this year (anything below 100 and moreso below 50) will hold their current values (or pretty close to it) even into next year. the sigs will likely NOT be at the same values they are at right now since no bonuses will be tied to them. most of the 2013 sigs are in the $5-7 range with only harper and ortiz being the exceptions. however, with a LOT more people in the game now, i'm guessing that some of the sigs (trout, jeter namely) will be decent values even into next year.
if you look at the 100k cards from 2013, those are still tough to find - similar ones from 2014 would be the kinsler mystery, tulo LL, lightnings, etc. anyways, that's my 2 cents.
