So, I was wondering if anyone out there does this, or whether or not you think this is a viable way to increase collection score. "Does this" means you trade away as many inserts that are needed to get a sig and then turn around and make him available on the fan feed and see if you can get more in return than you originally gave. Flipping inserts is my favorite thing to do, but I've never done it with Sigs (though people chase them and they seem to hold their value quite well). Does anyone do this who has advice, or does this seem like a viable plan to boost a collection?

So in closing be careful what you're giving up if you plan on flipping make sure there's room for profit otherwise you're just going to end up barely getting back to even

Thanks for the advice. I've really never been in the sig market. I prefer to work with and look for low numbered and limited run inserts (they seem to be pretty easy to flip and don't lose value that quickly), but I was thinking about trying to find someone who is willing to give up a sig for cheap and then try to patiently wait until I get an offer for a bit more.
After reading this though I'll rethink that or wait for a great deal.

Anyone else have a strategy for turning 1 or two inserts into bigger deals, more cards/inserts, and more trading fuel?

one of the ways that was successful for me was to put together a set of inserts and trade the entire set (or the key cards) just before the deadline (about 1 day prior). ppl are usually willing at that point to overpay, potentially for a sig or at least for a low end insert from a set that has since finished (but still retains good trade value, usually something <200 count).
