Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo has gone on loan to Spanish club Valencia FC. With Sergio Agüero not completely healthy, Edin Džeko being sedin Džeko and Stevan Jovetic only just beginning to show why he worth his fee, this move is a bit confusing to me as Negredo outperformed both Jovetic and Dzeko for parts of last season. Hopefully this move allows AN to get more regular playing time and prove to Man City manager Manuel Pelligrini that he deserves a spot in his first team.

Negredo was hurt too and by the time he was due back, I think they expected Agüero to be healthy. Džeko and Jovetic can fill in for now, and they have enough mids that they can go with 1 at the front if they need.
