According to Twitter and a response I got from Kayla at the Huddle Support email address, they are working to "fix everyone's PTS count." I really hope that is true and that they are able to restore things the right way (to reflect the standings exactly as they were at the end of the game last night). However, Kayla also tried to tell me that this falls into the category of "technical issues that are out of our control," and that coin refunds are out of the question even if the fix isn't able to occur. That is utter BS. This whole thing is clearly a technical issue, but it is decidedly under their control. Communication like that is one of the many reasons people get infuriated at the Topps Digital team. Wait...So Topps claims that the PTS issue, which was caused by software they wrote, is a technical issue that is out of their control? HUDDLE APP IS SELF-AWARE!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!

Wait...So Topps claims that the PTS issue, which was caused by software they wrote, is a technical issue that is out of their control? HUDDLE APP IS SELF-AWARE!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!Exactly. This is what I said to her in my response to that email: That is unacceptable, because this is a technical issue that is clearly and obviously under your full control. It is not a stat feed issue from outside of your codebase—it is an error on the part of your team.
Your team decided to create the Thursday Night Throwdown. Your team decided to promote and sell the packs that gave “game boost” cards. Your team made the error of changing those boosts from 5x and 10x to 2x before the week’s games were over. Every single one of those things was, and is, in your control. The technical issues that ensued from your active decision making were entirely the fault of your team, and your team is responsible.
I understand and appreciate that fixing bugs is part of the deal with software development, but don’t try to pretend it is out of your control. That is disingenuous at best.I like your approach better, though, guineapirates.

I think they are manually updating everybody's score. Mine still hasn't changed, but I'm falling down the overall rankings. Now #7.

Looks like everything is back to where it should be. The process was a little ugly, but in the end things were made right. Thanks toppscormack for helping get this done.

Glad we were able to fix it.
