I am so tired of getting trade offers where THEY offer and in the chat say "your card isn't really worth anything anymore"
In this case, I got offered Lester Sig straight up for Felix Fire Sig
I can understand sending that trade out to someone (like an A's fan maybe?) and maybe getting lucky, but to pair it with that message just ticks me off. WHY DO YOU WANT THE CARD if it isn't as valuable anymore?? I'm not dumb. Stop trying to rip people off.
My ignore list is getting too long these days.

Idiots ... possibly, persuasive absolutely not. However, if phrased correctly, I guaranty you would have accepted. The correct phrasing would have been .... "these aren't the droids your looking for and by the way that card is worthless, accept and move along"

You see, the trick is to not have cards that other people want. I never get messages like this, my base cards and common inserts apparently don't do much for them.

I've got a guy who has been sending me offers on a bunch of low count Heritage inserts over the last couple of days, telling me they aren't worth much. He added Wright Fired Up to his list of crappy old cards that aren't worth much earlier today. He assures me he is being generous by offering Murphy or Hamels sigs for these old, unwanted cards.

I thought I could pick up some missing cards - King Felix, Cueto or other SP Gold now that the season is over. No such luck. Traders are still valuing them as if they will be pitching in the next few days. But I'll wait. Their value is just going to drop
