OMG! Topps really needs to re-avoluate the KICK VIP program.....7,500 coins for 1 gold card! The "exclusive" gold cards are the regular gold cards with a ugly layer of gold over the pic.... Lazy!!!

i dont think its too far off though. 5k would be a better value - maybe even 4k to offer a discount to VIPs for already spending their money. as you know, golds are a lot more valuable in kick than in huddle or bunt so theres a premium.
the black pack is decently priced since the inserts that are a part of kick have some value as well. they might have timed it better if it came out yesterday with the chrome release but its been fine. just hoping that the MLS chrome sells out. the fact that they didnt create a black pack for the vip didnt help flush them out.
i do like the sig pack for vips. they limit the sig to only 75 so again, it actually carries some value. on the bunt side, they have it up to 400+ and no one wants it after the week of release (ie gomez sig)
finally, i think chari is getting a handle of the seedings for each league. he had to create that CRAZY madness pack for DFL - it lasted all of 10 minutes today. 200 packs. 2 cards. 1 guaranteed gold, 1 guaranteed sig. 15k (vs the 500k that bunt wanted last week).
putting valeri out at 200 with 1:20 odds will also help flush those out quicker. beck sig is still sitting in there at least 2 weeks later.
and finally, i agree, the gold VIP cards that we got were a little disappointing. not just with the "tint" but mostly b/c its the same photo. i was hoping for something other than a tint to help distinguish it as a VIP gold - and it would have been nice to see a 2.2 or 2.5x boost to give it a little more value.

Yeah, I also heeded there was an issue with Lallana sig not being in packs during what time period? i did notice that during part of the time i was opening NOTHING was coming out and i opened quite a few. took a break and came back and it was fine. i usually check the card counts to make sure its in there (bunt had issues all the time with "released" cards not going into packs) but it seemed fine to me at the time. oh well. |

I don't spend enough money to get VIP, which is a shame it is based soley on that, but I do want that Di Maria VIP card. If there was ever a month I should have tried to get it, it should have been September
