Hi folks. I am wondering if we could work up something where we trade around the sold out cards that are part of sets. I think the list includes Agger, Yanga-Mbiwa, Negredo, Elia, and Peterson, and probably more; I have some including white & green of the first three, red Negredo, white red & silver Elia, and white green red & gold Peterson. Tim, is there some common account to which we could make donations and then borrow what we need? These cards aren't scoring anyone points, but people still hold onto them tight as numbers are limited (though not at particularly low levels in most cases). If I could just borrow the few cards I am missing in these sets I would quickly get the awards and then be happy to pass them on, and I imagine many others are in the same situation.
1:1 me in game if you like.... Again I'm happy to contribute what I have as well. (I'm adam_jones_10). Thanks.

Oh man, these are probably the most overrated cards in the set. At least Agger, Mbiwa, Negrado, Remy, Diame and Garcia are. The first three you need for the awards and people act like the reward is 500k in coin.
But Remy, Diame and especially Garcia are the ones that really grid my gears. They don't score point or count towards rewards. Yet people want 3 sigs, 2 OF or a BB for a silver of them.
The greed in this game is through the roof, and the number of literal children that play makes it tough to trade b/c they don't understand rational give and take equality. Even some of the older people are starting to get really greedy now.

You're absolutely right: they are totally overrated. If I could trade for them reasonably, finish my sets, and trade them on to someone else, I'd do it. As you say, though, people treat them like they're Huddle-ish 35x bonus cards or something. That's why I want to set up something like this: loaners for rational people. Obviously the return is actually pretty small- a few thousand coins max. Still, I like to clear awards out- gives me a sense of satisfaction for some reason. A lot of people are complaining about the end of the set awards. I personally think they needed to do it. Don't get me wrong: I absolutely loved it and have spent way too many hours chasing those awards. It's paid off: I'm maybe $40 into the game on the year, which is obviously way below the competitive level. Still, over the past month as those set investments have paid off, I've been able to participate in some chases and even won a few awards that would have been out of my reach without them. That has been a lot of fun. Still, there has to be an end! If nothing else, then the ongoing need for a gold... I don't know, Schlaudraff or something, means that everyone holds onto him. The guy's worthless, and yet people are holding onto him because he's part of an ongoing set. Now that there's an end, he won't be held onto so tightly. After I finished a gold 1, I traded away that set for another, and soon wished I hadn't. I have had a lot of fun collecting sets and thereby participating in some cool chases. The end is here, and it needed to come, but I do fear for the future. My favorite sport is baseball, but talk about expensive: BUNT has become just ridiculous. In-season it's going to be worse: they'll probably end up selling one coin per dollar and have all desirable cards at 1:250 odds. Makes me sad that you can't do anything at all in there without dropping literally thousands of dollars. I definitely want them to make a solid profit but I'd like to be able to compete a little without taking out a second mortgage. One last question. I see ToppsChari talk from time to time about next year. They're going to split up the leagues? That's kind of a drag: I enjoyed the back and forth. Gave me a fighting chance in the points chase too: I've been solidly in the top 500 all year mostly on the strength of the cheaper Bundesliga cards. Everyone online complains about how hard it is to get points by putting in players right after they score. Seriously? That always seemed like cheating to me: putting in a guy after he's scored, and taking points for that? Come on. Anyway, does anyone know what changes are on tap? Ok, that's it! Sorry for the rant. Still up for trading sold out cards and also for any other rants!
