Guy cleaned me out and was supposed to pay me. Had a good trader rating, etc. Sent me a little I guess to gain my confidence. Finished the trades and haven't heard from him since late last night. Guess I'll give him the rest of the day to pay. Girlfriend is a state prosecuter and wants to hunt him down. She's fiery. It's fun.

So after some back and forth over whether the guy would pay me or not it ended last night with him saying that he didn't have the cards anymore because Topps Kick took them away from him. Therefore I should send him back the $30 he sent me ($30 of $240 he was supposed to) since he didn't have the cards anymore. After some arguing he blocked me in email and said I was a scammer and I "took his $30", reported him and got the cards back. Which if he wasn't a dumb*** he'd be able to see that the cards aren't on the accounts.
So I'm going forward with tracking him down and getting my $210 legally.

Thanks guys. Yea the money was and still is important. Just adding to a wedding funds and helping my best friends whose house burned down. I usually am more careful but once just decided to try and trust humanity. And humanity kicked me in the nuts

I hear you, we all make mistakes and I've been fortunate enough to not get burned, but I've definitely limited my risk now. I'm way too gullible and naive sometimes. I love the people with 2-3 stars that ask for a borrow/loan out of the blue with no collateral to match what they borrow and make sure to attach the comment, "I swear I'm not a scammer, I promise to return your cards, my word is golden, ask fan xyz" and fan xyz joined the same day as them and low number of trades with a worse rating. I'm not sure who wrote the course on Scamming 101, but they need updated material. LoL |
