So Android version apparently isn't out till tomorrow. . . Any of you Apple users willing to explain the requirement to buy bundles to get green and gold cards?

From what I know of, you have to buy at least any of the coin bundles, to unlock the gold cards, which means any F2p players are not going to contend in the points this year..

Thanks for the answer. At least you can, in theory, trade for those cards. Though I can't imagine it would be very easy. . .

The Star Wars app works the same way, so I'm not surprised. On that app, you have to buy something every day that you want access to the pack with gold cards in it. Here it looks like the same, but blues (last year's silver?) and golds are behind the paywall. You could buy the .99 bundle and then have access to the better packs, but the access is for that day only.

I'm not sure I like the new Bunt. You can't sort last year's cards by level anymore, so they just appear in a big mess (but in alphabetical order). Fan feed is tucked away within the new contests, and anything but the entry level contest costs coins. Not even sure how to set a lineup. When I have more time tomorrow I'll play around with it, but it's very confusing at first glance.

They will be have an update soon apparently fixing the sorting, so it'll sort by card count. ToppsCormack was on the article explaining things

That is a total bummer to hear. I saw other users complaining about the sorting issue with older cards, but that new requirement to pay for daily access to super rare packs doesn't bother me much. I only buy vip packs anyway, so it won't affect me too much. Kind of seems like they are handicapping f2p players, but it is a business though.

I can't speak to the price or availability of things, but can let you know a few interface things (we know we still need to get it better, but try as we did, MLB just wouldn't push back opening day).

- The old Fan Feed is accessible from the 'Social' row on the home screen.
- To play cards, you need to 1) join a contest, 2) build a deck for the contest, 3) play cards for the contest.

There is no overall 'play' mode or leaderboard. All play is done through contests and prizes are given out based on individual leaderboards for those contests.

Note that each contest is for some fixed number of games. Only cards that can score points in those games (2015 cards for players on those teams) will be eligible for those contests. You have to create a deck of cards that you play in that contest. You cannot change the deck once the contest starts, close to game time.

Each contest has a limited number of plays. There is no warmup time or regeneration. Once you use up your plays, you cannot change your players for that contest.

I can't wait to try out the new contest play. Sounds like a lot of fun! I heard on Twitter that they are fixing the sorting issue with old cards, so now I'm just waiting for the app to come out for Android.

I was planning on buying a coin bundle at the start anyway just to get going since I was stupid and din't save up more than 20k in coins. If I only have to buy it once I'll be ok. If you have to keep buying them over and over again I probably won't bother playing.

To get access to the better packs, you have to buy daily.

Wow, really. I guess I'm out then. If all I can get with my coins is white, green, or red there's not much point in even participating at all. Enjoyed the run while it lasted. I'll keep an eye on things and hopefully that changes but as of now I'm done for a while.
