Ok,
SO I have been waiting for the new update for BUNT, and as I thought, it was a let down. I love the interface and the cards look just like the physical ones do and are very nice..
But,, you have to pay to get the blue or gold cards, each day you want access to those packs..
So, as a f2p player I will not be given an equal chance to get these cards, as a paying player. Sure, the paying player can buy more cards and have a better collection., but now, the chasm is even wider between paying and f2p.
Before,I hear anyone say its a business, I totally understand this.... I am a die hard capitalist, and love the American business..HJowever,, it was a business last year, and they made money all year, even in the off season with all the inserts they were pushing out.. Now, they raise the daily coin giveout, but this means nothing to a f2p player who can never get  the gold or blue, unless he trades.. And who is going to trade golds for some whites or greens.. I am sorry, but, this will be just for fun and amusement, and not really serious playing this year, I think for myself. I was excited to play but my interest is totally gone when all they want is more money, and no service.
I cant even get a response, for a week,, about an issues I have with HUDDLE, and I have emailed 2 times, no response...

I am totally with you. At the moment it doesn't even look like we get a chance at inserts and TOPPSMIKE appears to have been misleading at best in his claim that packs would be cheaper. Taking out the top two tiers of cards and inserts and dropping pack counts, while increasing the cost per card is not making packs cheaper. I saved up 300k coins since the WS, that will currently get me 300 base cards, none better than a red card.

yeah and the whole sorting process is full of crap why in the world would i want to sort through all my cards alphabetically and mixed with commons all not for sale its a joke.

my friend did the pay for pack and pulled 13 golds in 900k worth of coins its a joke

They'll be fixing the sorting alphabetically in the update which they hope to send to Apple on Monday and it takes a week on Apple's side.

I don't like the idea of having to pay daily for access to the *possibility* of pulling gold or inserts. But that is why I buy enough coins every month to get VIP status. Then I only open VIP packs and I'm guaranteed gold or inserts. My way takes more patience and discipline, but it's a better use of money (if you're going to spend).

But I also find it difficult to complain about a free app with free coins and free cards and free play. The basic idea of capitalism is that input equals output, so I'm confused why a capitalist would expect more output for less input.

I didn't realize the update was live...trying to update the app now.

It sounds like I will be quite disappointed though as a free player. Over the last 14 months of discovering the Topps apps and becoming quite addicted to collecting, I've grown to enjoy the formula of a few free daily coins and then supplementing that with free coins on Tapjoy. Topps still makes money off of the Tapjoy situation and I have access to more coins to try and pull inserts. I still haven't checked out the update, but I hope it isn't as drastic of a change from the past formula as it sounds.

Because when this app first came out it was entirely free and much more enjoyable. For a college student like myself who has no money, their push to try to gain more and more money from their players gives a reason to be pissed. I have to use what little money I have for things a lot more important than a digital card game.

They make money buy forcing people to pay everyday, but if I had to bet, I'm guessing they lose more money based on the sheer numbers of users (myself included) who are disenchanted and decide to move onto other hobbies. I'm going to stick with it and deal mostly in older cards... but I'm still waiting for the Android version to be released.

Agreed, there are definitely things more important than this, and I'm not encouraging anyone to spend money you don't have on this. But I have made enough off eBay sales to cover buying here, so it works for me.

As a capitalist, I totally understand making money, but, also,I find the condescension, not of you per e, but other of the players who buy saying we are not needed as f3p, or to stop whining, rather discouraging.. TOPPS, as a company, makes money from the users who buy, and also those who use tapjoy app for free coins.. I  used tpjoy to get coins throughout the yer, so, in a way, I am paying TOPPS money to use their app.. To basically cut off the average kid in high school, who cannot pay to access all the cards out there a bit odd. I can pay for real cards, and get more for my money than I can from a digital card app. The joy I found from the BUNT app was being able to pay for points and win weekly contests and cards. I cannot do that really now since to get on the top leaderboards, I would need to pay to get the blues and golds, so, I am relegated to the lower reward contests..
Basically, anyone who pays saying we as f2p players should be happy with what we get, is really saying we are not really important, and that is what upsets me the most.. The general lack of regard for the average user who would use this app as a way to enjoy the sport they love..
 Beware, KICK and HUDDLE will be the next apps to follow this formula..
