Thursday, with ToppsMIKE and ToppsHANFORD:

-Some insert packs, not all, will only be available if you purchase coins. Free players can still pull some inserts
-Any coin purchase will get you access to these insert packs and packs that include a chance at pulling blues and gold base cards, even the $.99 bundle
-They no longer have rights to Derek Jeter
-Pack prices and bundles have apparently been lowered (I don't see how the regular packs have been lowered?)
-There is no other way to unlock the other packs without making a purchase
-The Spring Fever and Heritage cards and other 2015 inserts will be fixed shortly to work for 2015 decks
-They're working on the fact that it sometimes says you have a 0 collection score
-There will be parameters for league contests coming soon
-There is a Q&A coming tomorrow 
-The first sig will be released soon (Since then, it's been released: Mike Trout)
-The next update will address why they're sorting alphabetically instead of card count

Friday, Q&A with ToppsMIKE:


-If you want to play for points, you must join a contest
-According to Mike, it isn't unfair that having to pay to be able to have access to good card packs because the way "cards are valued has changed dramatically. Having gold cards be more rare is important for the card economy"
-The issue with not sorting by rarity will be fixed in the next update, which will hopefully arrive within a week
-The reason you have to buy a coin bundle to get early access is because Topps values people who values them. But they have taken measures to ensure that the F2P player has fun as well
-A new Android update is out to fix the bugs
-7th Inning Stretch packs will return soon
-If you can't see certain cards, close and reopen the app to fix it
-BoBs will make a return in a couple of weeks where if you enter a Sunday contest, the reward will be BoBs
-For May VIP, you might be able to have early access to all the early access packs for the entire month as a reward
-They had 1:500 odds for Bumgarner because Trout Sig Variant (1:350) sold out in record time and they want to have them in packs longer
-There is no plan to have a contest based on actual positions, like fantasy
-You can change your fav team by tapping on the photo on the home screen
-They believe inserts will be less valuable for contests than golds anyway. They want a gold card acquisition/pull to be exciting and an event
-Matt Harvey inserts will come soon
-Game-Only boosts will be available tomorrow
-Opening Day cards coming soon, not sure about pack distribution yet
-More #FindTOPPSMIKE to come
-Retro style inserts are a plenty in 2015
-Merge tool will not return
-Lester inserts coming soon
-No rights to Koufax
-Every Wednesday, a signature will be released
-Coin cards will debut in BUNT at some point
-More base cards (Series 2) will be released around June 15

Ok, perhaps I misinterpreted a response from TOPPSMIKE. I thought he said no insert packs for free players. Does that mean that the Sig Pack that is currently in the store actually has a chance at a Sig?

Yes, it does. All Signature packs for the entire season will be available to everyone. If I understand correctly, you need to spend money to have access to the Signature Variant packs, but don't quote me on that thought.

Yup, me too. Especially now that there is another pack available: Anniversary Pack. Looks like we're getting a 5-Tool Phenoms series....

Well not sure if this was a change or if it's gonna be the way it is going forward but the 5 Tool Player pack they just released is available to paying players first and then to everyone at 8 or 9 pm (forgot which one).

Change can be difficult, but I'm on board with everything they've done, and understand why they've done it.

If you were in the habit of even spending enough to make gold VIP each month, the changes benefit you. The most valueable coin bundle they offer during the season usually works out to an average value of $10 for 100,000 coins. Now in 2015, you're earning 85,000 coins per week for free. Even if you purchase the .99/3,000 coin bundle EVERY day to get access to the better packs, you're getting a total of 107,000 coins for $7 each week.

The only thing I'd like to see changed is that I'd like to know exactly what packs are available every day for paying customers. I bought the .99 bundle tonight and was a little disappointed to find that none of the insert packs also offered a shot at blue and gold cards.

I heard once you buy a bundle, you get access to the pay wall packs for 24 hours.

Is that true?

They had the update for android to fix bugs..... I use Apple and it's saying an error occurred when I got to view my trades wth am I suppose to do
