Bunt just announced the second card in the signature series: George Springer. With the announcement come a few of disappointing facts about the signature series:
1.) For two hours, signature packs are only available to VIPs
2.) Odds for regular blue George Springer sig are up to 1:175, up from the 1:125 they were for the Trout sig (The first card in the series for the year).
3.) Odds for the variant sig are up to 1:500, up from the 1:350 they were for the variant Trout sig.
The odds on these cards are getting ridiculous and I hate how the variants (with absolutely crazy odds) are only available in the variant packs. At least with huddle you could pull both in the standard signature pack.

And now another thing...
Last week the signature packs were 5,000 coins. Now this week they are bumped up to 7,500 coins. Still only 5 cards and the same base card odds as all the other packs: 80% white, 15% green and 5% red.
Very disappointing Topps!
So far there are no fun sets to chase this year with each little insert being only in it's own pack. Bring back weekly inserts and put them all in the Single, Triple and Hi-Five packs. There is no purpose to those packs...the same odds (or worse for the triple and single) with no inserts.

Agree. The direction of the sig series is very disappointing. Enjoyed the 2013 Sigs, but like many things, downhill since.

I passed on Trout (F2P player here) and was saving up coins. Then the odds and pack cost went up with Sig Card #2 (Springer). Guess I will keep stockpiling till a Brewer Sig comes out that I can chase with my 225,000 coins. At the moment, I am just buying base packs when they on sale for 5 cards for 3,500 (like the Opening Day pack was; and the First Pitch ones are now). Trying to keep my card cost below 1 card for 1,000 coins.
