From Mike:
Scoring will be changed and expanded. Strikeouts for pitchers will weigh more heavily now, for instance. PTS will be added for plays in the field. Assists, putouts, double plays, etc. We've expanded a lot on it.
Also, there will be restrictions on how many times you can swap players in and out of your lineup. It'll be _X_ amount per day. We're still working through the amount, if it can change, etc. Additionally there will be a very short period (10-30 seconds, we're still finalizing everything) for players having to "warm up" and "cool down" before they're officially saved in your lineup.
That's it for now. Gotta get back to uploading cards. Tell the community TOPPSMIKE misses them and he'll come hang out soon. Haha

This is going to be great guys who play all season will become very sharp on how to project players from game to game. STATSHEETSTUFFERS. Are is where I will be setting up some links and projection from last year to hell with new scoring. We have one week to get ahead of the curve if anyone has input please do so. Example list of pitchers who turn the most dp last season

There working on driving sales by way competition last year if u didn't mlb XTRA inngs/ mlb .com u had no chance at being competitive. This will be good

This'll take a little getting used to. Sounds like a lot more strategy. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the info Tim.

Honestly, there was not really anything wrong with the old PTS-scoring system. Sounds like sooner or later it will be implemented to a fantasy baseball sort of setting. Don't like this one bit.

I honestly didn't see any point to this change. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Until we use the new scoring system for a month, it's just speculation as to how it's going to be, if it's better, worse, etc. How ever it works, I'm looking forward to it.

Honestly, I thought the scoring system was a stroke of genius....in that if it were (assumed?) in conjunction w/ MLB - this would inherently lead to more listening and watching of live game telecasts. I certainly listened and watched more baseball than I had in a long time. I basically re-discovered the game I grew up with in a big way. I'm sure metrics are hard to gauge. But, players "playing" Bunt would only seem to grow viewership/listening of live games (i.e more advertising hits).
Just my take....

I honestly didn't see any point to this change. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Well they needed to make it different for BUNT 2014. There will be a lot more competition now this year with soooooo many people and the new scoring system

Playing Bunt helped keep me interested in the game of baseball. I hadn't been watching baseball normally for years until I found Bunt. You should be able to earn your PTS, not just select a set lineup and hope for the best. That's what Fantasy Sports are for

There will be a lot more competition now this year with soooooo many people and the new scoring system this basically just makes it fantasy baseball then. I enjoyed collecting sets of nines of point-getters like puig then cashing in when he hits a homer. With this there's really no point collecting 9 of a card.

That's the only thing that makes me wonder how far they went with changes. TOPPS wants us to collect nine of each for scoring. If they severely limit setting lineups, users will demand fewer cards. TOPPS doesn't want that.

I think u have the option to use 9 of one but u will have to decide if your going to us every spot for that player. Especially since defense will be involved in scoring
