I think u have the option to use 9 of one but u will have to decide if your going to us every spot for that player. Especially since defense will be involved in scoring I'm sure you will but why would you want to waste every spot on one player? I'd want to spread it out with the hottest players in the game.

Seems like it wouldn't be in TOPPS "best interest". If we don't have such a need for 9 of everyone, then we buy fewer packs. It doesn't add up.

Depending on how many times we can change lineups per day, it makes a ton of guys useless. i don't get it personally. if you want to make it one account per device and limit "scamming" and farming, fine. but i don't think there were any huge complaints about the scoring system. it benefited the guys with huge accounts, which is the point of getting a huge account. this will just make guys like trout, miggy, kershaw, etc. valuable and everyone else garbage i think.

Depending on how much TOPPS changed the scoring, this may become the biggest issue with the new release. But, given the very limited details, I guess we'll just have to wait. I'm sure when they considered any app change, they also kept the potential impact to pack sales in mind. So I'd still think their scoring system would reward larger accounts somehow. IMO.

I enjoyed the brute-force approach to just starting nine of every guy when they do something positive; way less strategy involved, but it's possible to rack up points just watching your team. I doubt I'll have the patience to keep tabs on every game, looking for the perfect scenario to change my lineup. Just based on the limited information given, this has a chance to severely limit the interactivity of playing for points and the fast-paced exhilaration of getting 9 of the no-name backup into your lineup right after he smashes a homer. There are already a bunch of well known fantasy baseball platforms. It seems like Topps took their completely novel idea and watered it down to act more like traditional fantasy sports.

The fact that we could switch them out as much as we wanted as what made it different from fantasy sports. If they limit the amount we can switch, it will come down to lots of luck. With the exception of starting pitchers and players with 1500+ points in 2013, the cards will be useless.

Idea seems fairly difficult to navigate.. Will take some getting used to. My question is why was this the only place that this scoring system was posted? Didn't see in twitter or Facebook ..... Just wondering

I think this "cool down" period is so we can't start a player after he gets a hit. So we would have to guess.

I like the look of the cards, but that "X" amount of plays at the top worries me for PTS Chase...

ahhh interesting. I'm thinking you have a certain amount of plays per day or week. If that is so, they may use that as another selling feature. Buy 10 extra plays for like $1.99.
