'Sup BHK? Wahoobudd here. A couple things I wanted to drop on ya.
1. Digital Card Database:
I'm not over the moon regarding the design or the UI, but Digital Cards Database is a heck of a resource: digitalcarddatabase.weebly.com/ Until Topps creates their own website, or makes some attempt to have articles be something other than a steaming pile of s**t, I think this is the best place to go to educate yourself on the current cards out there. I use it when large sets are out. I have no idea where the final count will be on specific cards, off the top of my head, so it is real good then. For example, on Playing Hard, instead of stumbling back and forth through 20 different articles about the set (interspersed with stupid Topps employee thoughts on Kris Bryant), I can go right to this page and see where the counts will be. Even better is that though I have to leave the app, I don't have to leave the trade page on the app.
The real solution to this problem, of course, is for Topps to just put that info on the back of the cards (5 of 750 sold) (#5 of 750). But, they are assholes and have better things to do. Examples of other things they have to do:
A. Put cards on the wrong template (see Kimbrel Gypsy Award - Hanley Playing Hard) so that the names show twice.
B. Come up with new packs that don't actually have cards in them.
C. Break math. 1% headlines? Uh, there were 54 Bryants. We are saying only 5400 cards were opened from the 7th Inning Stretch Packs? That is only 771 packs. Hell, I opened more than that. 1% either means 1% of packs or 1% of cards. It is said to be 1% of cards. It is not.
D. Forget to upload the photos for the cards. See basically all the Go Boosts from yesterday. One of the Ike Davis playoff cards was like this for a few months.
E. Dump excess high count set cards after the award. Weeeeeeeeeee.
I have nothing to do with this site (the database or Topps). Though, I may have sent the proprietor a file of all the cards 2012-2014. This site doesn't have that, so my aide was meaningless - - if it even happened.
2. I'm quitting:
Now, this doesn't mean I'm gone tomorrow. I have close to 750,000 cards across a few accounts. A good 500,000 of those are meaningless, but that still leaves me with a couple hundred thousand cards to get rid of. For example, I checked a couple days ago and I have over 2,500 cards under 250 count on Bunt alone. Those, at least, need to be dealt with. The two major accounts I will be dispensing of are NotForTrade and wahoobudd. This is on Bunt and Huddle.
3. NotForTrade:
To make things easier, I will first be getting rid of the 8,000+ cards on Bunt and 15,000+ card on Huddle that sit on NotForTrade. Mainly, to see where the market is on cards, create a buyer/trader base, and determine if I have the testicular fortitude to spend months selling, but not buying, Bunt and Huddle cards.
I would be fine selling the cards individually or in bulk. Feel free to make offers in this post, via the messaging system here, or via email (cubsbunt@gmail.com). Don't talk money on the apps, please. Feel free to send a trade and say (see email, BHK, etc.), but don't talk money. When I can hack into the iOS 8.3 update, I will provide a price list. Until then you are just going to have to make offers or check eBay. I have already had a lot of messages, so please just say what you want and how much. I am motivated to sell so I will be pretty open about pricing, but I don't want the - "you make an offer. no you make an offer. no you make an offer" stalemate. Tell me what you will pay, I'll tell you if that is good enough. Every hour I spend getting rid of the cars needs to net a certain amount of revenue or it is just better to do nothing. Please keep that in mind.
eBay limits me to 100 sales per month. I could call and try to get that bumped, but, technically, the selling of digital assets is frowned upon on ebay, so I don't want to raise the ire of THE MAN. That means, I will try to sell packages as much as possible. Right now though, I have 22 starting pitcher 2015 boosts up: www.ebay.com/usr/kellcub_r7ar0 That includes all of the starting pitchers from today: Kendall Graveman, Matt Shoemaker, Jake Arrieta, and Hisashi Iwakuma.
4. Wahoobudd:
Huddle cards on wahoobudd are free. Take whatever you want. I might not be on there a lot, but whenever I am it is an auto accept. No thinking necessary. That is 87,445 cards that can just be taken. No, I won't just give the account to you.
Bunt cards are all locked until NotForTrade is gone. I WILL entertain any trades on Wahoobudd and NotForTrade that get me cards on Wahoobudd that I don't have. This is under the pretense that I don't give up a card on Wahoobudd for which I only have a single.
5. Commission:
I am all ears if somebody wants to sell my cards for me. I will gladly pay a healthy commission to have that done. That being said, I'll either have to know you (as well as one knows somebody via the app) or have many champions on your side for it to work. Don't come to me about this unless you are serious about moving cards. Like mass amounts. Even if it is on your own ebay account.
6. Sorry:
This might be the absolute wrong place to post this. It also is a long self-important post. I am the worst. Also, I will probably be hit or miss about responding. I can imagine that will be frustrating for you.
Thanks for everything guys. You are the bestest.
