I think the change in the awards on Bunt is a big part of the participation being down. Topps took away the opportunity to borrow cards for award or collect sets (Borrowing Central threads) that could award more than just one time...BHK was the primary resource for many people like myself that were big into borrowing cards for awards and were looking for trustworthy people.
Additionally there are seemingly more and more people calling it quits on Bunt...

Yeah, hopefully the resurgence of HUDDLE brings more activity. I encourage everyone to advertise in the comments about BHK if you use HUDDLE
