So been playing Bunt since early 2013 however once this site started heading downhill I stopped playing which was early to mid 2015. Recently picked it up again and have for the first time since 2014 genuinely enjoyed playing it. However I’m lost in the values of cards. Back when I played their were much fewer inserts and for the most part people went by CC. I’ve figured out a little more through trial and error of what’s worth more or less nowadays. I wanted someones opinion on it, to know if I’m sending lopsided trades or ripping myself off. Thanks and gonna try and build this site back up!

I'm in the same boat as you. I used BUNT a ton in 2014 and like you said trading was a lot easier back then. Nowadays I'm struggling to find fair trades, let alone trades at all. I just send to go by CC/Year/Player Quality

So here is my take on card value. It sucks because there are so many cards now especially low counts and sigs and what not that it has basically dilluted the market. That being said i feel as if older cards (2012-15) have increased in value significantly because of all of the inactive accounts who have those cards on them.
My evaluation of a card roughly looks like this Year>Parallel>Card Count>Player>Sig/relic>Set. Something like that. Considering im a huge Reds collector i consider Reds i dont have way more valuable and will contradict this valuation depending on who it is. Some people consider how the card was obtained and how hard it was to get it, but that might not really be known by everyone who plays the game so to me that is worthless information. Id say a gold base 2014 trout is worth AT LEAST 9 gold base 2018 trout.

Used to it always just went by CC but since I got back on I’ve been wanting to collect the old stuff that I liked when I first played only to learn it was much harder to come by.

I concur with the fact that due to the massive influx of inserts, including relics, signatures and whatever else they can come up with, it's hard to really treat anything as particularly rare or interesting. Even card counts are misleading across the apps, as a 400cc insert on Bunt is likely much harder to get than one on Kick or Skate, mainly due to the amount of people using particular apps. I end up crosstrading a lot and am able to snag low Bunt stuff for some relatively easier to get non-Bunt inserts. This tactic doesn't work so well on Slam or Star Wars, however, given how popular those are as well as the amount of coins one automatically gets.
I am also one to focus on card counts to figure out value, but like apaulo13 said, if a Red Sox I don't have shows up in a trade then it's value is worth more to me. Hard to guess what people really want these days, though... sometimes people feature 'favorite teams' that aren't really their favorite or even sought after? Boggles the mind. In case anyone wants to get around the card count issue, include pre-2017 cards in your collection view. Using the card counts of those older cards, you can see 2017/2018 cards amidst the old ones to judge if they're more or less rare.
