This wish list is clearly wishful thinking, as there's no real indication that those at Topps are interested in what users have in mind. However, I feel compelled to collect my (and your) thoughts about what would make the app more interesting and useful. Here goes:
I'm sure I've got more, but that'll do for now. What I'm not so sure I want back are card counts for base. I have to say, they're easier to trade for or away without taking note that whites are astronomically high and blues are probably more rare than one thinks given the fusion going on.
Anybody have anything else is mind? 2019 is coming...
- Better filter system: I like that I can sort by duplicates, but I want to sort by duplicate white postseason Yankees, for example. Typing in 'yankees' or 'postseason' still bring up other cards.
- More rewards/awards: I appreciate the gold award cards for collecting all 50 of one team's set, but bringing back the 'all white collected', etc awards would be nice to have. Sometimes I think I've got everything but then one or two colored base cards show up out of the blue that I don't have yet. Granted, there are checklists. Speaking of which...
- Smarter checklists: Man, these things are way too big and arduous to sort through. One can easily miss a checkmark as they're scrolling through massive lists of names, so one still won't know what cards they're missing. Like the filter system, maybe add more choices to cut down checklists into teams, colors, haves/missing could make collecting a lot easier.
- Friend List searches: Since I crosstrade a lot, my friend list is huge. Adding someone that starts with, say, a 'W' means I have to scroll all the way down the list to find this friend. The app (or my phone) sometimes has bad days where scrolling will not behave well, with the refresh being much too sensitive. Oh, let's just add this...
- Better scrolling functionality: How about a scrollbar, Bunt? Finger flicking sometimes works too well or not well at all.
- Diamond/coin separation in the store: I get it that Bunt wants me to spend money on the app. What they don't know is that that will never happen. Therefore, add a new section to the store that's Coins-only so I can just ignore all the wonderful inserts I'll never be privy of getting with diamonds. I'd rather just deal with the fact that I'm staring at 1:35 odds for an insert that diamond folk can get guaranteed...
- User messaging: Likely never to happen, but 1-1 trades are a workaround that can be avoided if they just allowed us all to communicate better.
- Automatic cache emptying: My phone loves to tell me that I'm running out of space. How about, like a browser, Topps apps add a choice to empty cache automatically upon exiting? One less tedious step to worry about.
