My Grandfather used to collect baseball cards like a freak even when he was like 60 and he always kept them in a secret place so his kids wouldn't steal them. However, on his 86th birthday he was told he had a month to live so right then and there he said "Since I most likely won't make it out of this hospital alive, I want you to take all of my baseball cards and I want you to collect them just as much as I did." I was very young when he told me this and I really didn't understand what was going on so I just cried and hugged him. Two weeks later he passed and my grandmother showed me the cards and handed them to me. Those were the first cards I ever collected.

I'm a little late on this lol but I'm a big physical card collector. I buy on ebay have an ig account for it (mat_nat_2 if your wondering) and I just love having them. My favorite card in my collection right now is probably a Derek jeter game used jersey price with a pinstripe. I got it in a claw for a $1 at te boardwalk lol. It's definitely not my most expensive but still cool. My other favorites are dellin betances rc autograph from 2012. I'm also a phillies fan and I have a really nice phillies collection including a nice cole hamels autograph.

I've pulled quite a few Future is Now and Red inserts. I always enjoy opening a new pack, seeing which cards I got, and reading the backs. I especially like the Bowman cards because they have some interesting (and often quite hilarious) facts about the player's personal life on the back.

and just to let everyone know, i'll be putting up a huge lot of cards on ebay next week. its a bunch of autos, relics, patches in one whole lot. lmk if youd be interested and i can work something out with you here. not the best players but decent stars. selling at pretty much wholesale price considering what you're getting
