Here hoping for the best!! I'm going to the card store in an hour with my nephew again. Can't wait. Having way more fun with the physical cards right now. Oh and the wife approves more of the physical cards then the virtual. I would've thought it to be the other way around but...looks like I'm going to be doing a lot more trading in bunt and more stops at the card store. I'm actually splitting it 50/50 right now physical/ virtual. I find myself slowly wanting the money spent on virtual cards back to put into physical again but I enjoy both a lot. There's nothing like getting an insert in a pack of real cards. Must be nice. Mine begged for my collection to be gone for two years when we got married! I only had boxes stacked about 2-3 foot high across the entire bottom of the closet then. LOL Not that big a deal right? |

I once payed for a week long poker trip to Las Vegas with baseball cards....really its a lot like the stock market but you can hold and look at this "stock"

I feel for that loss my friend Some more than others don't understand the attachment made to our silly lil pieces of cardboard. Lol. It's my inner nerd I always tell my wife. She laughs. In my mind though once your a collector it never goes away from you...it may get tucked away for a while but when your cleaning out a closet and stumble onto that one box you may have left It stops you. You say "man I forgot I had these" you sit down open the shoe box or however you chose to store them and look thru them and say things like "remember when he was good" and " I still remember when I pulled this" That. That's what collecting is all about. The memories you make with friends or others when you go get some cards. That feeling you get when you pull your first insert or relic or auto. That feeling when you pull your favorite players new card and say" yes!! I was hoping to get that". To me at its smallest cards can be rewarding when having a bum day or at its largest a very wise investment towards possibly college for some of our newest additions to our families. It's in my blood I learned from my parents and my nephew and now my daughter will learn from me. I will never stop collecting

I bought a couple of packs today as well. Had pretty good luck. Got 1993 Bowman Chrome, 2008 Heritage, and 2014 series 2 topps. Pulled Mo RC from the Bowman Chrome, Al Kaline redemption Autograph (expired  ), and Tanaka power player. Much better than anything I've been able to pull in Bunt. |

Just bought my first 20 dollar box of series two and probably pulled my favorite pull so far this summer. I got sick of waiting for the pack sales on bunt so I took a cruise to my lil spot to fulfill the urge. Glad I did. I just pulled the same card a few days ago. Unlike you, I wasnt as happy with the pull. I did get another box and pulled a Jeter Rookie commemorative. Best commemorative patch pull in all the blasters Ive ever bought. Also got Abreu rc and the Tanaka variation. Ive got to say, thats best blaster I've ever opened. |
