Biggest BS is Huston Street not making it as a closer. His stats beat all of the other closers' stats by a long shot. Tyson Ross is starting on Sunday, so maybe that will give Street a spot, but he still should've been an easy selection for a closer.

I decided to check out the stadium and look around in the team store since I didn't actually have time to watch the game. Went in the store wearing a Nats tshirt and bought a Cashner tshirt (my favorite padres player) and left the store after that. When I went to dinner after the visit, I checked my phone to see who the Padres were playing and guess what...they were playing the Nats. |

NL SP too talented Simon has 12 wins The only two reasons that I can think of as to why Simon was not included are a) his ERA is a teensy bit high compared to most of the other All-Stars and b) they wanted to diversify (is that even a word??) the pitching selection by not having too many SP's on the roster. EDIT: Scratch that, Ross has a higher ERA and WHIP AND he has a losing record. |
