Buxton EC finally announced

Haha that might work - it seems like the only way they could make it right is to award it again. They could also take a capture of their servers at 12:30 today to see who had the cards, but I have my doubts as to their ability to do that...

big question is should I move my buxton now? I've been offered hamels sig but I'm trying for a better one how should I even value it

If they don't correct things, there may be less than 100 Buxtons out there. I'm sure a lot of people thought they had tons of time to trade for Arrieta before the 1-30 award. I'd try to get something huge if possible, otherwise hang on.

so if I got like a hamels and Teheran sig considered huge or would like a tanaka and Teheran sig be huge? just wondering since I'm thinking of asking for something like that

This might be beyond my personal expertise. If you don't have any attachment to the Buxton, two newer sigs like that seem sweet to me. I'd go with Mauer over Hamels or Tanaka, just because it's series 3 and has better near term trade value. If they do fix the Buxton issue, there might be close to 300 of them (a bit less than Singleton EC), so 2 sigs would definitely be a steal. I guess it comes down to your faith in Topps to fix their mistake

I also think that most people that would be interested in the card were probably chasing it, and might be too bitter to trade for it right now. Or they're holding out hope for a fix.

on one end I want it fixed on the other end I don't want it fixed since the buxton will be more valuable but if anything I know I can get atleast a sig for it right now . I'm also satisfied that guys like themattpeek are desperate for my Arrieta because those guys couldn't pull it. that's what you get when you demand fire sigs for your damn EC cards jerk!

Haha. As soon as the new article came out I just went on eBay and bought the first Buy it Now Arrieta I could find. I'm sure I paid way too much, but I remember how hard it was to get Wheeler and Yelich. I've had luck selling off all my other cards anyway, so I'm cool dropping loot on the one set I want.

you mind telling me what you paid? 20? I could easily see Arrieta being at the same level as wheeler even with the super bonus sale

Closer to $24. There are a few open auctions out there ending in a couple of days and climbing steadily. There were other buy it nows for $30 or so. I've really only seen like 4 or 5 on there. They actually sold a lot cheaper earlier in the week when everyone thought that it was just another slow EC rollout that would suddenly be all over the place by Thursday or Friday.

sent a guy an offer for mauer and Gomez
I got my Arrieta from a nice BHK guy for dinger the Dino card so I feel fortunate I actually offered him more cards afterward today to say thank you but he just said pay it forward. It's BHK and bunt people like that that keep me still interested in the app

Just figured out Bunt's loophole - the article today states that the ECs for the Buxton were from WEEK 11-20, not EC 11-20. Looks like this is slightly intentional deception on their part...they've just referred to 11-20 in general in the past...

so buxton is fixed then? I honestly don't know what the weeks are then? have you read the Arrieta article does it state that's the 21st week?

This is the 20th week of regular season MLB baseball. Somehow they've released 21 ECs. Whichever EC was right after the last award didn't count (Pineda?), as it somehow slipped in as an extra one I guess. So nothing is fixed, and it seems like they may have a way out of it based on the language in the article. Would've appreciated a heads up or clarification for sure, especially since Arrieta has technically been out for less than a week, and officially stops awarding (and selling?) tomorrow.

that's pretty shady then for topps it means everyone who thought 11-20 got the reward and overplayed for it got screwed ( i know a few who gave up
sigs for a few of them)
